High school?!?

ok im going to be a freshman this upcoming fall. i just want to know how high school is really like on a students point of view

High school?!?
Ok, well high school is 4 years of routine, drama, trying to maintain your grades, getting up at the crack of dawn, trying to impress people that don't matter at all, sucking up to teachers, getting tardies, and waiting in the lunch line for what seems to be an eternity. But, throughout all of this, time flies by before your eyes. My suggestion to you is, as a freshman, take classes that are honors and maintain at least a 3.0 GPA. Don't screw that up, because I spent 2 years trying to rebuild my grades from slacking off in the 9th and 10th. Take extra-curricular activities - you will be going to college eventually, so take part in different activities so you can stand out. Do your homework..as boring as it may be - every grade counts. Teachers are more lenient and you have more privileges, but do not abuse them. Be nice to everyone and don't sell yourself out for "friends". Because usually (if not always) you never talk to them again as the months and years go by. Good luck.

Reply:I am at a pretty excluse private school. It is fun but be prepared to work your butt off depending on where you go. Also, do your BEST in freshmen year as it really sets a tone for the rest of your years and colleges do look at your freshmen grades.... Get involved and have fun, it's a great time.

Reply:it's pretty much what you make of it. you may want to get into sports and other clubs. i was on the track team. and have lots of school spirit, even if your school sucks. my freshman year was pretty fun. it kept getting better. but my senior year was kinda hectic trying to prepare for college. im a freshman in college and man i miss high school!
Reply:im a sophmore but from my past experience i do have to say try hard because if u fail it is not a big deal but u might regret where all the party hard fun takes you if u dont do ur work
