High school?!?!?

wel both of my parents were high school drop outs, is that a good path to take????? some good tips anyone!?!?

High school?!?!?
dont quit school if you cant help it. not many people make it in this world without finishing school. yeah... some are really famous rich school dropouts, but the majority arent doing well.

Reply:if u dont know what u want to do why not finish school and use that time to learn and figure out what you would like to do after school. Also you can never learn 2 much so finishing school is always a good thing these days as its now harder to gain employment. goodluck

Reply:It is not a good path to take, and I think your parents will probably tell you that, if they haven't already.
Reply:You should get at least a high school diploma. Some people are successful with out it but its rare. High School is easy just get through it or take the GED and get your diploma that way.
Reply:Ahhhh, Nar don't do it lol, It's such a short period of time in your life, and probably the most important. It's not a high price to pay considering its only 4 years. Then you have like your whole life to do what ever you want. I'm in my last year, and it was tottaly worth it. If you drop out, you have basicaly wasted all the time in school up until now. Plus, It was easiser to get a job if you were a drop out when our parents were growing up. Now the rules are pretty layed down. So, unless you want to be flipping burgers, or waiting tables for the majority of your life....


Any ways, good luck, but really think about it. Your decision now could tottaly ruin your future.

Reply:It all depends what you want to do with your life. I would urge you to stay in school, and get the best possible education that you can, as that can do nothing but improve your life. However, traditional Highschool is not always the way to go. There are alternatives:





- GED


- Teen programs at colleges


- Running Start





I'm sure there's more as well, those are just the ones that spring to mind immediately. You don't necessarily need an education, but it's better to have one. It's not worth having one if you don't enjoy it, and are getting nothing from it, though.





Again, I encourage you to get the best education possible, but do it through your own terms.
