that will look amazing on anything you put that on just remember to have fun high school can be one of the best or one or the worst times of your life!!! have fun and just hang out with your friends every once in a while you have the rest of your life to worry about resumes!!!
Reply:Yes this is all very impressive; however, this really is not what colleges are looking for...primarily.

They are all part of the consideration process, but it is important to know that this is substantially in third place to the other factors.

Your grades, GPA and QPA, are primary in the decision making process. This can not be underated. Secondarily is test scores. This includes SAT's and ACT's. It is worth knowing that your standardized tests that you take every Spring in school are now sent along with your transcripts. This is brand new starting this year. So, remember to do your best on those tests as well. Your teachers might not even know about this yet.

These two items are used as screening criterion for acceptance to college. If your GPA and SAT's are not top notch, all the other won't even be considered. Wow, read that again!!!

Also, of the clubs that you have mentioned, few are truly academic in nature. Clubs that really impress schools are NHS, as you mentioned, CSF if you are in California, Academic Decathlon, Geo Bowl, Knowledge Bowl, FBLA, DECA, Virtual Enterprise, Speech and Debate, and Mock Trial. These are all clubs that will not only look good but will add to your knowledge base and increase test taking skills.

Pride, Key Club, Amnesty are nice organizations but are not as well respected as the aforementioned clubs.

You sounds like you are taking all of this seriously and planning well in advance. This is really impressive. You aren't doing anything wrong. It's just that the time you will spend being in all of these clubs will take away from the primary goal of getting good grades and developing excellent test taking skills.

It's better to join only a couple of academic clubs that several non-academic clubs.

Feel free to e-mail me directly with any other questions about getting into excellent schools.

Best wishes on a bright future,

Mike
Reply:Wow, it looks like you are off to a good start. That looks pretty good for someone your age. Keep up the good work. Seeing as you do community service and it appears that you achieve high in your classes you may be selected to join the National Honors Society(NHS) if your school had a chapter. I am not sure if your school had it but FBLA is a good organization to join. It can help with leadership and you can make new friends. But overall you are in pretty good shape for someone your age. You seem like somone who can do whatever they want.
