High school.?

hey i just started high school it is amazing. how do i get cool with the upperclassmen

High school.?
No matter what the upperclassmen tell you....you are never totally "cool" with them.

Sorry charlie, but the age difference/maturity difference is the thing that draws the line between upperclassmen and underclassmen.

Just be yourself and enjoy these 4 years you have ahead of you.

Good luck :)
Reply:why do you care how "cool" you are, why dont you put more time into your school work so you dont end up a loser!!
Reply:well here's the thing i just started high school too and i found out just being quiet around upperclass mates actually makes them like you better because your not in their way. Just stick to your normal group of friends.
Reply:hook one of them up with your hot sister!!
Reply:seriously, high school will go a lot better if you care less about being "cool" ,"popular" or whatever. one day your going to be an upper classmen, so try not to rush it. just hang out with your friends now. if you want to make new ones, just join clubs or sports.if you met someone new, ask to hang out or just go and hang out with them and meet their new friends. don't worry about what everyone else thinks be yourself and make it a fun time.live it up.you only go through high school once so don't worry about the drama.and right now they do see you as immature.your going to see the new freshmen as immature when your upperclassman too.are you going to want to hang out with freshman when your a senoir?

plus, if all your friends are only senoirs, then next year you don't have them to be "cool" with and have to start the whole thing over.
Reply:Be yourself, don't be a poser, have a good time, smile alot.
Reply:Be quiet until you're spoken to and volunteer to do things for them. Be on a sports team with them so you can get to know each other. Don't expect to much though. Seniors started out just like you but didn't stay there and they want to keep going up, not back down where you are. Be patient.
Reply:The first few days of high school, seniors might try to make you feel their "power." Don't panic--it's a high-school tradition for the upper class to intimidate freshmen! Getting to know upperclassmen through sports teams or other extracurriculars can be really helpful when you're trying to figure out details like which English teachers to avoid or how to cut detentions. That same senior you feared could ultimately turn out to be a really good friend and mentor.
Reply:Remember when you were in 8th grade? And the 6th graders were immature, stupid...?

To the upperclassmen, most freshmen are like the 6th graders.

So think back, and try to be less like them.

Also, don't try to smoke, drink, shoot up... They won't think you're cool. They'll just see how desperate you are to fit in and use that to their advantage.

So basically, act mature. Stand out, but not like a sore thumb. It's better if they see you and want to include you, than if you try getting on their good side.
Reply:Just be yourself and it'll be just find! Just keep your grades up, don't want to be stressin your last yr. like me. =P
