umm i am going to start grade 9 in toronto and i was wondering what day school starts and wat school supplies i need thanks for helping

Reply:i live in the us but last year i was in 9th grade and all the supplies i had were a 1.5 inch binder, a 5 subject note book, and then a one subject notebook. im very organized so i was able to put every thing in one binder. i hate having to carry around binders for every class. i have no idea when your school starts though, sorry. i don't know what school you go to and almost every school is different. but i go back on the 5th
Reply:well all the schools i know, american and canadian, are starting on the 4th of september. the day after labour day.








the things u should bring on the first day are:


-some papers in a folder


-a few pens and pencils,


-your scedule


-and maybe a nice totebag to put it all in :)





on the first day of school your teachers will tell you what is CRUCIAL for that class (ie. graphing calculator for math.. my english teacher told us on the first day last year that she would NEVER nolerate pencils.. lol)


basically, i ended up with a couple of notebooks, a two inch binder and a composition notebook at the end of the year :)





P.S- bring glue/tape and scissors to school. omg, people ALWAYS need them, but no oneeee ever has them ;)
Reply:No offense, but do you really think asking people on "yahoo answers" will help? Try looking it up on the school's website, that should probably help.

Reply:first of all i dont think people say "grade 9" at least not in the US. if there are Staples stores in canada then you can go there and get a supply sheet from them they have them directed by grades. about your school date you might get a mail [usually sent out to all freshmen tellling them about activities and when school starts] a few weeks or days before school starts.

a few fineliners


TONS of paper (graph paper for math)


a good quality backpack


a bag to hold gym strip


locker accesories (make organizing your locker much easier)


a pencil sharpener


art pencils if you're taking an art class


a few erasers


a few bottles of white-out with a sponge applicator (brushes are crap)


pens in black blue and red (a few of each)


binder dividers for different topics within a subject





Normally on the first day the teachers will tell you specifically what they want you to get, so don't worry about it too much.





I believe the first day of school in Toronto is Sept. 4.
