most detailed answer gets 10 points!!

High school???
Clothes: Just wear what you want, girly stuff, tomboy, or just plain comfortable. Doesn't matter unless YOU like how you look.

Hair: What's comfortable, but I suggest to carry a hairband every wear because long hair will get REALLY annoying especially when in sports, studying and such.

Make-up: My opinion, none, that gunky stuff, guys want what's real so that you don't have to wear make-up all the time for a guy who'll only like your fake look not your natural look.

CLubs: Whatever you want or what can help lead you to what you want in the future. Like I want to be in business and advertising so I go for DECA. Just whatever sounds fun to you so that it won't be JUST another boring class.

Anying Else: Try not to think so much about how high shcool will be difficult. Because letting yourself think of the awkward situations and fitting in you'll feel more awkward. Just let go it and concentrate on your future afterwards. Well that's what I do and I don't feel shy to talking to new people or anyhting I just know to work hard and have fun. If you have something to take your mind off all the drama you'll do fine, music helps a lot. Like the song All Star by Smash mouth is great, do not listen to Miss America it'll lower your confidence of thinking you're better than the cliques and drama when you are!
Reply:just wear what you want and do your hair and makeup how you want... try for simple and if you plan going to college join all the clubs you can and sports you can for extra curricular activities and just have lots of fun
Reply:wear cute clothes coz there are alot of cute guys dere no lie....show ur body alittle....wear make up but dont wear too much wear alittle and try to look cute....hair u could tie it up in a pony tail...brad ur hair...curl it..st8 it...dere are alot of clubs to join but join clubs that will helps u in the future when u go to college...
Reply:When you go to high school you just need to be mature and know that they don't kid around. Teachers dont accept excuses for why you don't do things.

You should just wear whatever clothes you like. Look at magazines like "seventeen" and they show a lot of the trends.

Your hair should just reflect your personality. You may like it long, short, curly, straight, wavy, anything. A lot of girls in my school straighten their hair everyday. Also, sideswept bangs are cute!

Theres not really much i can tell you about what makeup to wear. You just wear what you like, whether it be eyeliner, eyeshadow, mascara, blush, etc. Its fun to try different colors on your eyes to.

IDK about clubs.

Its good to do sports because its a good way to stay fit and have fun and make friends. You also get credits for it.
Reply:BE yourself do not worry too much about what other people wear if they do not like you for you then all well. Join clubs that you like look around there are plenty to join but you need to watch out there are alot of fake people in highschool but if you act yourself and choose your friend wisely not bc of what they wear and all that you will find great friends. Trying to keep up the fad each semester is to hard i would not even bother that just gives mroe people to talk about ya about. So i would just wear what you like and be yourself do your best at your school work. I had great friends that were true friends. I acted like myself and i chose them wisely.I did not give in to peer pesure either.

About the clubs there are so many to choose from just ask a guidence councelor your first day there they will tell you what clubs are aviable.

GOOD LUCK.
Reply:STAY AWAY FROM GOSSIP AND/OR DRAMA!!! that is the best thing anyone will ever tell you... it will turn around and bite you in the *** it will be a very quick four years... and my advice to you is join every club you have an interest in even if it is a small interest because you don't want to live with regret... and give everyone a chance because when you are walking with your class at graduation you will regret everyone you didn't become friends with... dress just casually its not really a big deal anymore what you wear just make sure you have proper hygenie techniques because people do notice... and if you wear a perfume make sure you do not over do it it is almost better to not wear that... wear body sprays if you want to smell good because alot of perfumes make people sick and i'm sure thats not a first impression you want to make... and it really doesn't matter if you are popular or not because after high school it doesn't matter so just try to get along with everyone and make sure you don't do anything that you will regret and just remember you only have one reputation... and it sticks with you for life... so treat it nicely
Reply:If you are thinking about college- join Key club, of course that is if you have that at your school. Basically, college will give you a lot of scholarship money for your volunteer work rather than for your grades. If you are single %26amp; lookin for a guy, wear make-up and try to look pretty...like wearing skirts. I was lazy and looked like crap until 2nd semester of freshman year %26amp; then I started to wear make-up %26amp; dress nicely and then I instantly got a boyfriend. If you look your best and be kind to everyone you meet, you should have no problem to make friends. I am not in band but have noticed all those ppl make a lot of friends w/ each other. Dress in the style you like; punk, girly, preppy, goth, etc. %26amp; the friends will come to you if they like what you wear. So just be yourself. My advice is to not get into a lot of drama. My freshman year I did %26amp; I regretted it. So yeah...have fun and savor every minute cuz it goes by fast!

Reply:You may not know a lot of people when you first start high school. Maybe your friends from middle school are going to a different high school, or even if you know other freshmen you might not know many upperclassmen. How are you going to make friends among this sea of unknown faces?

Most high schools hold a freshman orientation before school actually starts. These are helpful not only because you learn your way around the building and get to meet some of your teachers, but you also get to meet fellow freshmen. That way, when you show up on your first day of school, you may already recognize a few familiar faces.

When you talk to people at orientation, you'll probably find that a lot of them are feeling just like you are. They're all new to the school and don't know what to expect. Talking about a common concern with your classmates could spark a new friendship.

Learning Inside the Classroom

How about the workload in high school — is it a lot harder? Will there be more homework than there was in middle school? Your classmates are probably worried about this very same subject.

The work in high school builds off of what you learned in middle school, giving you a more advanced knowledge of many academic subjects. So you may find that you have more work to do or that it's a bit more challenging. But these challenges can make you feel less bored with the usual routine. Besides, doesn't it feel great when you've mastered something really tough? Maybe you'll find a new appreciation for biology or discover your passion for literature.

If you ever find your work too overwhelming, teachers and tutors are available for extra help. While you have more independence as a high school student than you might have in middle school, there are still many resources to fall back on if you feel that the work is too much.

Extracurricular Activities

High school also has more extracurriculars than middle school did, such as clubs, music and theater groups, student government, and sports teams. This is a fantastic time to explore your interests and try new things. Who said school has to be all work and no play?

These activities may take place before or after school, or during your free periods or study halls. Because of this, time management is an important skill to sharpen in your first year and one that many students successfully learn. Extracurricular activities are great to participate in, but remember to leave free time for yourself. Everybody needs some downtime.

Learning Outside the Classroom

Aside from the things you learn in class, high school is also a time when people start to learn important lessons from their friends and classmates. High school is a time of increasing independence and responsibility. As in middle school, you or your friends may encounter some tough times. But if you ever find that personal issues get really overwhelming, there is always someone to talk to. Friends and parents can be great resources, but sometimes that's not enough. School counselors or other therapists can be very helpful if you want to talk with someone outside of your friends and family. So many people are available to help you. Just because you're becoming more independent does not mean you're alone.

Middle school taught you the basics of academics, time management, and social skills while providing you with a little extra support and guidance — kind of like a bicycle with training wheels.

High school gives you the chance to take off those training wheels and learn how to be more independent. It's perfectly OK if you're nervous at first. Even if you don't get off to the best start, that's normal too — everybody's a bit wobbly the first time they take off their training wheels. Just be patient and keep trying. Once you've adjusted to your new independence you may find you can go farther than you ever imagined.
