High School?

Ok, so next year will be my first year of high school. We have to choose our elective classes now though. We have two choices:


1.take 1 elective and 1 study hall


2.take 2 electives





So, should I take a study hall? I mean, people sya there's going to be about 3 hours of homework a day, and it's recommended to take a study hall. But I really want to choose 2 electives, because study hall seems boring. BTW, we can switch off each semester.

High School?
coming from a high school sophomore id take 2 electives. study hall is a waste of time and you do not get credits for it. and you dont get 3 hours of hw a night.. dont listen to every thing you hear.

Reply:You should base it upon what your classes are and how much homework you want to deal with after school. If the classes you are taking aren't too hard for you and you think you can get your homework done quickly enough, you probably don't need to have a study hall. If your classes are going to be hard and give a lot of homework, it would probably be a good idea to schedule a study hall. Good luck in high school =)
Reply:I had one elective and a study hall, and i used the study hall for studying and getting my homework done so i don't have to do it later.
Reply:I took my elective freshmen year (ART) just to get the 1 credit needed to graduate. I now have 2 study halls and it makes thing so much easier. Its not boring if you actually do your homework and get it over with then. You should probably get your credits now instead of later because freshmen year is the easiest year. And you won't be getting 3 hours of homework a night. Some nights, yes. But most, no.

but make sure you study at home and don't blow it off!

Reply:no study hall is worthless and i dont think you even get a credit for it so its basically a waste of ur time

electives are actually interesting..well some of them are, but don't waste your time in study hall when you could technically do that at home
