High School?

Ok, so next year will be my first year of high school. We have to choose our elective classes now though. We have two choices:


1.take 1 elective and 1 study hall


2.take 2 electives





So, should I take a study hall? I mean, people sya there's going to be about 3 hours of homework a day, and it's recommended to take a study hall. But I really want to choose 2 electives, because study hall seems boring. BTW, we can switch off each semester.

High School?
I think you would be ok with two electives in the first semester, but take one elective and study hall in the second semester. My daughter is in high school right now and she wishes she had study hall because the homework sucks. The second semester you can use the study hall for studying for exams, homework, and if your bored just sleep or write notes to friends.

Reply:definetly get a study hall...not only can you study and do homework but you can catch up on much needed sleep...That sounds nice right now, And also...dont let people scare you about highschool, I was scared going in and I ended up friends with all the junior and seniors, just stay active in sports and activities
Reply:I would go with the two electives. If after the first semester you really feel like you need extra time, you can take it. I would keep in mind that the three hours a night thing is probably slightly exaggerated, and you may finish a lot faster than that. Especially if you are in honors classes, you are probably a faster worker, and won't really need the study hall, whereas you can learn a lot more by taking another class.
