High School!?

I'm in eighth grade, and I just went to my orientation. And I saw all the kids that are going to the high school I'm going to next year, and realized they were all so pretty! They had such nice hair, and pretty makeup.

I have olive skin, blue-green eyes and long black hair.

My questions are: How can you make your hair pin straight and shiny? What products do I use?

And what kind of makeup should I use for myself?!

High School!?
First and foremost, dont try to be someone your not. You'll grow and find yourself in highschool. But, you can start by straightening your hair (suggest not doing it too often, can ruin your pretty hair) and buying straightening cream. For makeup: Well, do you wear any now? You probably wont really need any foundation, I suggest just eye liner and some eye shadow. Experiment %26amp; have fun!
Reply:To make your hair pin-straight, use a hair straightener or blow it straight. To get it nice and shiny, condition it! try using garnier fructis sleek and shine hair serum, i think it works well.

Your makeup, ah. Just try a little lipgloss, black mascara and a pretty shade of eyeshadow. Nothing too drastic.
Reply:Natural beauty is the way to go for school, the purpose of attending school is to explore yourself and what you have to offer the earth. focusing on the inside and letting other students see the real you is important for your own image clarification. Let the students accept you for who you really are, we are all one of a kind and that kind is flesh and blood.
Reply:OMG!! Im just going into high school too! But Im sooooo excited!!and yeah Ive seen the girls at my school too and Ive just decided to be myself and maybe put on some lip gloss and sometimes straighten it and sometimes leave it curly. To Straighten it, use a good straightener and a good shiny serum. And if you don't want the frizziness in your hair, use John Freida's FrizzEase. Its really good and it works. I don't really wear make up so I wouldn't know but I would suggest don't go too full out then you'll look like an over the top wannabee and you don't wanna be classifed like that..! Good luck for next year and hope your as excited as I am!!
Reply:Hair: Blow dry your hair and then straighten it with a flat iron.

Makeup: To get a clean looking face, use foundation. If you can afford it, buy BareMinerals becuase it is the best for your skin and it won't look weird if you don't know how to put makeup on. Liquid foundation is okay, but it can look really fake if you put it on wrong.

Put a little blush on, and since you have olive skin, you shouldn't need much bronzer.

(BTW- the foundation, blush, bronzer and powder all comes in the starter kit of BareMinerals)

Then, put some powder over your makeup if you tend to have a really shiny and oily face.

Lastly, apply 2 coats of mascara and no eyeliner. If you've never worn makeup before, you don't want to look crazy with tons of makeup on the first day of school. So just go for a natural and clean look.

Remember: too much makeup and you'll look like you're trying too hard. Get your makeup done at Sephora or Ulta with BareMinerals to see how makeup should look.

Good luck and have fun in high school!
Reply:just shutup, over hear acting like ur ugly u have problems if urrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrhniutbhjn rud
Reply:hair straightener
Reply:Just be yourself. You'll soon realize that it's just another normal year at school that just happens to be in another building. However If you do want to use makeup try a nice natural color eyeshadow ( vivid colors can be tacky if you don't get professional help when choosing the color), some mascara, and a nice shiny lip gloss. However make sure not to overload on the makeup and remember you are only beautiful with a smile and confidence.
Reply:dont worry about being someone your not in high school, freshman year is a little hard but after that the kids stop bugging you high school was nothing like junior high school for me.

but its always fun to try to look your best anyway so uhh my suggestions are Chi styling silk, its pretty pricey but very worth it. invest in a good flat iron and then some mascara and lip gloss are the most important makeup keys.
Reply:hair straightener, also use some special serums that will make your hair even straighter (they can make your hair straighter, shinyer, and less frizzy but you have to use a straighterner.) I have blue green eyes use a pink or brown eyeshadow. oh and lip gloss
