High School?

I'm starting to doubt that "High School, the best years of your life" saying. So far it stinks . I have crap teachers. And my parents are complaining about my grades and stuff. yes i used to be straight A student and now I'm getting B's out of the blue. Is this normal or did you all have "PERFECT SMARTASS LIVES" %26lt;-not trying to insult anyone. (Note: How i've seen it, people who show off or bring out elaborate props or annoying I'm better than you acts during group projects are the ones who are PERFECT SMARTASS LIVES. They think they're so great and are dam hypocrites. It's sad to know that those people don't know that they are such easy targets for Jokes and insults. It's funny to watch sometimes.)

High School?
I'm 43 and quite successful, I barely graduated from high school. I went from As to Bs to Cs and a couple of Ds. I think education in general and high school in particular are over rated.


Definitely not the best years of my life.


The only thing that's important is that you're smart and you have a good attitude.


You seem pretty smart but kinda angry.


Those people with PERFECT SMARTASS LIVES they get that way from being afraid of their parents, teachers other kids, bad grades, you name it.


The fact is life isn't that hard, take care of your self and treat others the same way you want to be treated and you be just fine.

Reply:High school is the Best because you dont have to pay any bill yet you still have a lot of freedom or at least thats what old people looking back on their childhood say. And get used to B's i used to get a TON of a's and now i get a few b's and even a c but that was from a crappy teacher, just look at the bright side, whatever yours is and get through it.
Reply:High school definitely encompasses some of the most INTERESTING years of your life. I think if you ask any adult "is it true high school is the best years of your life?" they will look at you funny. You sound like you are new at it. I hated teenagers even when I was one. They all make fun of each other and are all fooled into thinking that some dumbass fellow 15 year old actually knows what the hell they are talking about and are some sort of authority in what "being cool" entails. No offense but teenagers don't have their sh*t together. I didn't, all my friends didn't and you and all your friends don't. That's why high school is interesting. It's the years when you start to get some of your sh*t together. College furthers this process. I'm told you sort of get a grip in your 40s...but not much of one =) Anyway I know you won't listen to me but don't stress it. But you will stress it anyway. Trust me...the hormones make not stressing it impossible for most. But just remember...if some fellow high school kid makes fun of you, guess what, some other high school student makes fun of them too. And they're all dumbass teenagers that really don't know much about life yet. If you keep that in mind, high school will be very AMUSING.

Reply:It's OK. I'm a freshman and my grades dropped form all A's to B's too. I decided to drop a few extra curricular activities and really work hard on my studies. And some smart people can be perfectly fine. Just because you choose not to doesn't mean you can take it out on those of us who are smart when we work hard. (I get all A's now because I work at it.)

Grades go down usually because classes get a lot harder. Keep studying.





Thankfully HS only lasts 4 years at most if you're smart.





College is a lot better. You don't have to hang around people you don't like as much.

Reply:Its the best years of your life to the idiots that are going to have menial jobs, and get their HS "sweetheart" pregant at the prom, then marry her and stay in podunk USA for the rest of their lives.





If you are going to go out and get any half way decent career, the fun is when you graduate college, get your own apartment, and start banging chicks. Getting a good buzz and banging chicks never gets out of style, as long as you dont knock her up.
