organization

teachers

friends

socializing

clubs

in class work

note taking

stress

High school?!?
homework--it depends on your teachers but some teachers give hwk and then you don't really have to do it b/c they don't count it as part of your grade. it's for you to learn. tests are worth so much more in high school.

organization--be organized as best as your can. use you agenda; it will help a lot

teachers--be nice to them to their face, but you can do whatever when they're not looking. it really helps to have a few teachers to be super nice with since you'll need them for college recommandations.

friends--try to have friends from all social groups. and especially try to find (nice) upperclassmen friends.

socializing--do it enough but not too much or you'll end up failing all your classes

clubs--join lots. idk if it's the same w/ your school but most of the clubs at my school don't require you to be always there. it's a great way to meet upperclassmen friends.

in class work--try to find good groups when you do group work. you teacher often doesn't care if you did your part really well and your group members did horrible; you get an overall grade that you al have

note taking--i felt that it was the same as middle school. if you miss notes, don't freak cauz often times the info is also in your txtbk

stress--take time to relax. don't worry too much cauz after these 4 yrs of school, you'll most likely be going to a diff college then your classmates and whatever embarrasments and stuff happened will disappear!!

have fun!!!
Reply:Ok =)

CLUBS=YOU MEET COOL PEOPle%26gt;.A MUST

NOTES=not a big deal

STRESS- do your homework mostly at school.

dont think to hard.

wear comfy clothes.

AND HAVE FUN !!

HIGH SCHOOL IS FULL OF DRAMA AND FINDING YOURSELF =)

best of luck
Reply:High school is so over rated. It's just like middle school, except you have a wider variety of classes.
Reply:Um..stop. High school is lame. You'll hate it. Do the work and in 4 (3 years for me, I graduated early =P ) you'll be out, and in COLLEGE that's when you should really freak, mahuahahaha!!!!!!
Reply:I'm freaking out too, because I'm in eighth grade and I just focus on what is important. If your A/B honor roll like me you will be fine.
Reply:Just enjoy it and get involved in as many things as possibble...

Its gona go by real fast so just make the best of it...

make sure you have all your credits...

and most importantly HAVE FUN!!!!
Reply:Definitely get involved in a club and a sport. You'll meet people and have something to think about other than schoolwork, and it's a good stress reliever. Be nice to the teachers. It will get you far. Don't let your grades slip to the point of no recovery. Failing a class is lame. Unlike middle school, they don't just pass you along if you don't make the grades. Keep your stuff organized and have a planner so you can keep track of due dates and stuff like that. That will keep you from getting stressed out too. Be yourself and be nice to other people.
Reply:Have you done a Yahoo search on these topics? I'm sure you can find a site that gives you general advice on dealing with high school. Devote several hours each night to homework. If the teacher wants you to read one chapter of the textbook each week, then do it. Don't fall behind or you'll have 10 chapters to read the night before the test. Make friends, join clubs, take notes, avoid stress.... you'll be fine and find your way through it.
Reply:Ha! Me too! I'm starting high school next year (And I'm in 8th grade)

Except I'm not freaking out about it. People had gone through the same thing, and most of them are fine now.

Go online and look for some articles about starting high school, or ask your older siblings and parents.

One thing I know is ALWAYS do your homework. You'll fall behind in class if you don't. And try being on the good side of teachers, it makes things easier on you.
