High School?

I've been going to a catholic school for 8 years now but I'm going to a public high school. I'm just probably paranoid but I'm freaked out. Things I'm concerned about - clothes I've been wearing a uniform for the past 8 years!! Gym what do you do? My old gym class was pretty lame and was barely gym. Locker rooms - do you really take showers and how closed off are they usually? It sounds wierd but I'm shy in new places and always seem to get lost.

High School?
I think you need someone who can be a "big brother/big sister" who goes to your new school. Is there someone who moved to the public school from your catholic school last year? Does your family have any family friends who have high schoolers there? If you ask your parents to help, they might be able to find someone to help you transition. The public school might also recommend someone kind who can guide you through the changes.
Reply:OMG i definetly understand u! I've been going to Catholic school my ENTIRE life and i have a friend that goes to public and though its different, she enjoys it a lot! Also she admits she has to do a lot of shopping!
Reply:Well just think of it as a new experience. You are going to have to deal with other things and people that dont have to do with Catholicism. It all depends on the school though..at my high school we did things in gym...ran and all that stuff. and the showers were opptional and no one used them, except after swimming and with bathing suits. Dont worry, most of the people that have been in public school all their life still feel lost there.
