I don't know where I want to go for High School. Pinkerton is a great school that I want to go for a good education, but Memorial will have all my friends and 8th grade class that I grew up with.
What would you do in this situation?
High School?
Friends come and go but a good education is your future and remains with you forever.
Reply:you can make new friends, high school has alot more children that grade 8
Reply:I probably would go with people i know...
Reply:well there are two scenerios..
1. you go to the good school and make new friends a strive
2. you go to the good school, but it's harder to make friends and you feel bummed about it
it depends..if you make friends easily sure go for it...
but highschool is totally different for middle school...you have different kids in every class, and people are towering over you, and it's always conforting starting at a new school knowing that you'll have friends there
Reply:It depends on what is more important to you education or being with friends. Look at what you want to be when your older if you have no idea and don't want to give it thought yet then you should take four or five different online tests. Online tests aren't always accurate so the more the better. If you do know what you want to be then is it worth possibly not getting into a good college to hang out with friends.
Reply:Go for the better education. You're young now, so you probably think having lots of friends is really important. But, when you get older, you realize that preparing yourself for adulthood is more important. Friends aren't going to pay your rent, water, electric, and cable bills when you get older. Having a good job and making money will. By the time you get to be 18 or so, you won't be friends with those people from 8th grade anymore anyway. Then, if you go to college, you won't really be friends with your high school friends anymore. It's a cycle and that's the way it goes. These friendships now are good, but they don't really matter in the long run. I'm now 25 years old, and I don't see anyone from school anymore. Those friendships didn't mean anything in the long run.
