High School?

I want to get out of high school this year I am in 11 grade my school says that this is not a good idea. but I get the feeling that they are saying that b/c if I do it's less money (they are greedy) I am in Utah. I am thinking of going to a private school. What do you think? any ideas?

High School?
You need to make sure you get enough credits for a good college.

The time in school may suck now, but it will be important later down the road.

And yeah "high school drop out" doesn't look good on a resume. %26gt;_%26gt;

12th grade is the funnest year anyway. =P
Reply:Just stick it out your last year. Everyone pays for school with tax $ money whether they go or not. It's stupid I know, but it isn't going to change any time soon. If your school sucks ridiculously, you have no friends, or there's nothing exciting to do, then go to a private school. If it's just about $ though I suggest you stay. Private school is a lot more expensive
Reply:unless u plan on being a struggling job finder drop out.
Reply:Don't get out, go for 12th, it looks better on a resume.
Reply:bad idea, you want to spend your 12th grade with your friends that you know from 9-11. if you go to another school during senior year you will have a hard time making friends since most people are already integrated into their little social groups.

Academically, if your grades are good at your current school you should be fine for college since 11th grade is the most important.
Reply:Do what is best for you. But my Seniors thoroughly enjoy their Senior year- since they have most of their credits they spend 1/2 the day at school and then 1/2 at work or the vocational school. They also enjoy participating in Senior trip and Senior Prom and all the graduation exercise activities hosted for them. We acknowledge our Seniors by allowing them to walk in to all events and listen to the underclassmen cheer, etc. It is a big deal to be a Senior there! Sooo much fun and something to look forward to! Well just some stuff for you to consider. On the other hand, even if you take no classes at the school you can still participate in stuff if you have not technically graduated. Florida has a pact that students can attend the local community colleges for free if they are high school students (meeting certain criteria- GPA and ACT scores) and many students get a year's worth of credits out of the way this way and for free. They have to provide their own transportation but that is about it. Just depends on what you want to do. I suggest that my Seniors look at their options heavily before graduating though because high school only happens once and it should be a memorable experience! :)
Reply:if you are absolutely miserable at your school and want to finish up high school, there are online high school classes you can take. you can finish classes at your own pace and take extra classes so that you can get your diploma faster. i dont know what its like in utah, but one of my friends here in florida started doing online high school classes after she had a mental breakdown. she came back the next year, but decided that she should just take classes online, since she could graduate on time instead of returning and repeating the beginning of the year over again. i hope this solution is good for you. it shouldn't be as expensive as a private school and much easier to get in to.
Reply:private schools are good but hard to get into i think. do what you think is best. think about where you wanna be in life and what kind of people you want to be around.
