High school?

I have high school next year and i have older friends but when you get to high school people say you lose some friends and you gain some i want band drama and cooking as me electives because with band you get to travel and sing YAY and drama well i am a good actress and cooking because its fun but i am kind of nervous about it also none of my friends are doing drama or band but should i do it ?

High school?
Do what you want. yes, things might change, but it's OK. Just roll with it and don't stress. Trust me, if you try to fake your personality and interests, people will see right through that %26amp; will not want anything to do with you.


Have fun these next four years! I miss high school dearly, it was so much fun w/ so little responsibility!

Reply:Don't worry. Some of your friends will be in your classes and you will see them every day. You'll make new friend in the band and in your other electives. Join some clubs and pick your friends wisely.


Work hard but have some fun, too. Keep your eye on where you want to go with your life.
Reply:Don't forget about academics, but kids in the band tend to be the nicest people and they are smart, too. Good friend material.
Reply:yes take the classes you want and dont depend on friends. because in highschool the biggest lesson i ve learned is that the only person you can truely depend on is yourself. and you will find that towards the end of highschool your really not close with the people you are close with now. so make lots of new friends by taking clases with people you dont know because then it forcesyou to befriend new poeple. take riskssssss

Reply:It's always like that in high school: in the beginning week(s), you won't have any friends, or at least friends you can talk to about some personal stuff. And then into the year, you gradually get to know everyone in your classes. After about 2-3 months or so, you know everyone in your class and should already make at least 1 or more good friend.
Reply:You sing in choir or chorus. Not band. That would be instruments.





But yeah, I only had one friend from middle school that I stayed friends with. I went to a different school that everyone else I knew, too.





But take the electives that will be good for you and what you are interested in so that you can develop deeper interest so that you can find a good college after high school and you will know what you want to study.





ps. yeah, 3 electives? whaat. i got 5 total. over 4 years. and none until junior year.
Reply:Yeah, you should take the classes you want. In high school you can't keep following what your friends do. Eventually you'll have to follow your own path.

Just be yourself and in time you'll adjust. Do what you want to do and be what you want to be and eventually all things will fall in piece.
