High school?

I'm 15 and a guy in high school and i'm frustrated. I don't really belong to a group of friends, I just kind of know a couple people from different groups, but not well enough to join one. And I hate feeling awkward and meaningless. I never really got into a "group" of friends. Got any tips for high school? Don't give me that "relax, and be yourself" because that's what i've done, and it's left me friendless and being able to only talk when talked to.

High school?
I'm in high school too! I know exactly what you're going through.

Up until now (I'm a junior) I just kinda hanged out. In my sophomore year I met two new friends and now it's like we can't be separated. Just two weeks ago, another girl came into my class (I go to a private school {my class has 10 people in it})!

It really does help to be yourself though. I was hated in elementary school because I never behaved like I normally did. It can get really annoying if you always try to behave like someone else. If you want to have true friends (sorry) hate to say it but --- be yourself!

If you don't want to behave like yourself, don't copy someone from a movie you know of. Please. It's just wrong!

It took a while, but I finally got my friends. You'll get yours too. You can't be in a higher grade than 10th, so by the time you're a junior, someone might get "dropped" off at your school, and you'll have someone to talk to.

Be patient.

I didn't use the word 'relax.'

I hate that word!!!!!!!!!
Reply:find something that interests you...there must be some people with common interests that you share...just possible you might be able to be friends and do something outside of regular school time...extracurricular activities-ride motorcycles, bikes, skeet shooting, riding horses, roping, skateboarding, paintball, banding birds, catching snakes, metal detecting, gold panning, canoeing, archery, bow hunting, fly tieing, fly fishing, fishing, and on and on....
Reply:Start talking to people that share your same interests. That's what I did since I'm interested in JROTC and Drill Team. Soon enough I came from having no friends to having too many friends.
Reply:Hey, I have the same problem. I am inbetween group and like you i know people but not well enough. I am trying to put myself more out there and try out for groups so i get to meet new people. It has actually helped me a lot and now i can kinda figure who am friends with now. Just try having random conversations and it will lead to important things. Try to hang out with people that you think you will get along with. I did to hang out with the "popular kids" but I could never stand the way they talk about everyone. So find people you think you can trust and relate to.
