Does anybody know if in High School you will be taking Pre-Calculus/Calculus if yes can somebody tell me what it well include. What jobs itll serve for and how much pay. I'm in an eighth grade advanced so I think they should.
High School?
Calculus in high school is usually an elective. You will be able to take it.
Your guidance counselor will be able to inform you about the types of jobs that require math. One example is accounting .
Reply:I took pre-calculus... (as a jr) it is VERY different than calculus... (like pre-algebra is different than algebra 2) calculus is very challenging... high school math is a mere stepping stone for careers in the field of mathematics... it looks good on a college application and, in turn, will give you a high school diploma... but, like any subject you are hoping to specialize in, you should get a college education. (Probably in engineering, or perhaps become a math teacher...) 8th grade though, you'll probably change your mind a few times before college comes near... good luck
Reply:I'm a sophomore, and I'm taking Pre-Cal next year as a junior, but that's because I'm ahead in math. Most sophomores are taking Geometry (I'm taking Algebra II). If you are in advanced math in eighth grade, then you might be in Geometry as a freshman, and able to take Calculus your senior year.
